Job search with my-id.ca — complete guide for Canadian job seekers
Applying to jobs in Canada often means repeating the same work history, education, and contact details across Workday, Greenhouse, Indeed, and government portals like jobs.gc.ca. my-id.ca stores that information once and helps you fill each application faster — without sending your data to US big-tech AI.
Why job seekers use my-id.ca
- One structured profile built from your CV or LinkedIn export — employers, titles, dates, skills, references.
- Chrome autofill on ATS and employer career sites; you opt in per page and review before submit.
- Job Applications tracker — a lightweight CRM for status, interview dates, HR contacts, and reminders.
- Canadian data residency — your profile stays in Canada; my-id.ca does not resell your résumé.
Real-life scenario
Priya is a marketing coordinator in Toronto applying to eighteen roles in six weeks. Each portal asks for the last three employers with exact start and end months. Priya uploaded her CV to my-id.ca once, installed the extension, and autofills each long form in minutes instead of retyping from a PDF. She logs every application in the tracker so follow-up emails never reference the wrong company.
